Citadel Theatre success stories

For more than 40 years, the Citadel Theatre has entertained and inspired audiences – and much more. Edmonton's oldest professional theatre has thrived by producing top quality work, premiering new plays, developing the skills of professional artists, investing in youth and family programming, and contributing to Edmonton's quality of life.

The Citadel has become one of the largest theatre organizations in Canada with five performance spaces, complete production facilities and a theatre school.

In 2006, the Edmonton Community Foundation provided more than $320,000 in grants from various funds to the Citadel Theatre in support of production, education and new play development.
