Since it opened its doors in 1971, Terra Centre for Pregnant and Parenting Teens has helped more than 33,000 teen moms and young dads become successful parents raising resilient, healthy children.
“Every day I see the importance of our work. I see young parents completing their high school education and learning about positive parenting. I see children who are healthier and happier. With support from Terra, teen parents start to realize their potential. Best of all, I see promising futures,” says Karen Mottershead, Executive Director.
Edmonton Community Foundation supports Terra through both its grant funding program and its Legacy Partnership program which helps local charities build long-term capacity.
