The vision, resourcefulness and leadership of John Poole and Bob Stollery have played a pivotal role in shaping Edmonton’s social, cultural and community landscape in ways that will benefit our community in perpetuity.

In 1989, John and Barbara Poole, George and Rae Poole and Robert and Shirley Stollery reactivated the Edmonton Community Foundation. Each family offered a gift of $5 million to the Community Fund, enabling future Boards to respond creatively to new challenges and emerging opportunities. The endowment funds created by the Poole and Stollery families continue to grow, keeping their legacies shining into the future.
